How do I set up a website for my small business if I’m not tech-savvy?

Setting up a website may be broken down into a few basic pieces. First, you’ll need a domain name (your website’s address). Second, you need a web hosting service (space on a server where your site’s web pages live). Third, you need information and pictures about your business.

What’s the difference between a normal website and a web application (web app)? Do I need a web app for my business?

Most small businesses only need a standard website, not a web application.

A web application (or “web app”) is essentially a more interactive, feature-rich website – it’s a software program that runs on a web server and is accessed through a browser, offering functionality beyond just displaying information​.

A standard website is typically tells customers about your services and business hours. It might have pages like Home, About Us, Services, Contact, etc., and its main goal is to present content for new and returning customers to read.

Will I be able to update or manage my website’s content on my own after it’s built?

Yes! My goal is to help you handle as much of your website’s day-to-day updates as you are comfortable with. I typically build small business websites using a content management system (CMS) – basically, an admin dashboard that lets you edit text, photos, blog posts, etc., without any coding knowledge. With a good CMS, you can log in to your site through a normal web browser and make changes using simple editors
